WHY HIRE A
It can be very upsetting and confusing for your pets when you have to leave home. Allowing them to stay where they feel safe and secure makes a big difference in how well they handle the separation.
My job as The Pet Nana is to provide pet parents with confidence and peace of mind when leaving their pets at home, knowing they will receive the love and care they deserve. My goal is to reduce stress for both the pet parents and the pets.
Check out the Gallery on this site to see pets, pets, pets, and more pets that I have had the priviledge of knowing and caring for.
A Little About Me . . .
I became "The Pet Nana" in the Spring of 2008. By far, it's the best job I've ever had. It's a joy getting to know and caring for so many wonderful animals.
I was a member of the Board of Directors of Salem Friends of Felines for two years and still support the great work they do.
This is my dog, Phoebe. I adopted her in January (2012) from Hopes Haven, a wonderful local rescue that finds homes for dogs that have run out of time at other shelters. She's an All-American Combo dog - part beagle, pit bull, corgi and probably more. As far as I am concerned, she got the best parts of them all.
Phoebe and my 10 cats (you can't work at a cat shelter and not increase your number of cats) get along very well, most of the time.
PLEASE SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS
EVERY DAY more than 30,000 homeless cats and dogs are euthanized in the United States.
In addition to making sure your pets have plenty of food and water, I will also spend time playing with, brushing, talking to and loving on them.
I'll be happy to pick up your mail, water plants and put out your trash containers for pickup. (No additional charge).
For pets with health issues, I have experience giving medications: pills, shots or fluids.
I offer a pet taxi service to transport your pets to day care, vet or grooming appointments.
I also give doggie potty breaks and mid-day walks while you are at work.
$17 per visit
Each visit includes providing food, fresh water, exercise and lots of love.
Pet Taxi Trips to the vet, groomer or day care
